Ozone 3, 4 and 5 all had similar looking interfaces and it was pretty easy to see the evolution progressing in terms of user interface and layout. If, for example, you want to boost the midrange in a vocal, but don’t when the vocal gets loud - then voila: dynamic EQ is the answer. The Dynamic EQ is one of the hallmark features of Ozone 6. It also might be a reason for some people to consider upgrading from Ozone 5, though more on that later. I may be getting a little ahead of myself here but this is the big carrot and one of the main reasons to choose the deluxe version over its pared back sibling. Firstly the good news: Ozone 6 Advanced has a new dynamic equaliser and I have to say it works rather well. So what’s the difference between Standard and Advanced? Well, I’d advise going to iZotope’s website and look at the handy comparison chart as there are quite a few differences (apart from $750!), but I will quickly focus on a couple here.

By using not even the full potential of this plugin, I can easily enhance bass sounds, which add more clarity to my mix. A stereo mix allows adding more life to drums without any artifacts or damage appearing throughout the rest of the mix. Also, the user-friendly GUI here follows modern trends, and its size is completely customizable. In addition, you can switch between a modern or vintage vibe by changing loudness targets from CD to streaming. The Tonal Balance Control feature can automatically analyze and optimize your mastering process. Using the Master Rebalance feature, you can adjust the levels for each instrument individually in a stereo file.
For instance, it has 16 different modules that can drastically change how your music sounds, along with vintage modules that will add old-school warmth, grit, and vibe to your audio tracks. Ozone 8 Advanced plugin has a relatively wide range of functions and features.
